Eco-market leads the way for ENV appeal!
Our animal rescue appeal on gofundme.com has got off to a flying start thanks to a donation of over $300 raised by an eco-market in Hoi An, Vietnam.
Organized by Hannah Aiello and Sumeika Turpie at Green Shoots International School in Hoi An, the relaxed community event showcased the environment-friendly talents of local creatives, cooks and philanthropists. Despite being one of the hottest days so far this summer, there was a huge turnout by the local community in search of ethically made and sustainable homemade food and drink products, clothing, jewellery, accessories, art, homewares, vintage and second hand goods.
The proceeds from vendor fees and the proceeds of sale from a few generous sellers was donated to ENV and accepted on our behalf by local volunteer outpost leader, Ky Duyen. Our appeal aims to raise $20,000 to support our work in removing endangered animals from the illegal wildlife trade.
